What Is the Partisan Disruptor FRT Trigger?
The Partisan Disruptor is a 3-position forced reset trigger for AR-15 that uses the bolt carrier group's rearward travel to mechanically reset the trigger after every shot. Instead of relying on the shooter to manually release the trigger, the BCG pushes the trigger forward during its rearward stroke — completing the reset mechanically before the bolt returns to battery.
The result: a shooter maintaining rearward finger pressure fires at a cyclic rate limited only by the BCG cycle speed — approximately 1,150 RPM in FRT mode. Every shot still requires a separate, deliberate trigger pull. The Partisan Disruptor FRT fires one round per trigger function and is federally legal under the NFA following Garland v. Cargill and the May 2025 DOJ settlement.
The black Partisan Disruptor is identical in function and specification to the green variant — same patented cassette architecture, same 3-position selector, same USA manufacturing. Choose black for a cleaner, more tactical look that blends with most AR-15 lower receivers.
Key Features
- Patented drop-in cassette FRT — US Patent 9146067. Self-contained assembly drops into any mil-spec AR-15 lower with standard trigger pin spacing
- 3-position selector — Safe / Semi-Auto / Enhanced Semi-Auto (FRT mode). Anti-walk pins with T-10 Torx head included
- Match-grade trigger pull — 3.75–4.1 lbs in semi-auto mode, CMP Service Rifle Match compliant
- ~1,150 RPM cyclic rate in FRT mode — BCG-limited, not shooter-limited
- 17-4 stainless steel construction — 4140 chromoly on all wear surfaces
- 100% USA-made — manufactured entirely in the United States
- No firearm modification required — true drop-in, standard trigger pins
- Black finish — clean tactical profile, matches most AR-15 lower receivers
- Federally legal — semi-auto operation, one round per trigger pull
- Tested to 6,000+ rounds — under USMC M27 IAR evaluation criteria
Required Hardware
The Partisan Disruptor black FRT requires two hardware components beyond the trigger itself:
M16-Profile BCG (Required)
The extended carrier tail on an M16-profile BCG provides the contact geometry the Disruptor's reset lobe needs. A standard AR-15 BCG will cause inconsistent resets. Legal in all 50 states.
H2 Buffer Minimum (Required)
A standard carbine buffer cycles too fast for reliable FRT reset timing. H2 (4.6 oz) is the minimum. H2.5 (5.1 oz) is the recommended sweet spot for most carbine Partisan Disruptor builds.
